P.J. Spillings were contracted to carry out the demolition and alterations to an existing care home and the construction of a new extension.
Corton House Care Home wanted additional dining, living accommodation and storage, so a modern extension was commissioned to provide a more spacious living area for the residents and a much needed upgrade for the care facility.
The new space is highly functional, with an installed nurse call system, and alterations to the fire alarm making it appropriate for the residents of the care home. There were also added some high-quality homely finishes such as the parquet floor our team laid.
A key consideration for this project was that Corton House was an existing care home, so our team made sure that this project was planned and executed with care and consideration for the residents, keeping the levels of disturbance to a minimum to avoid disruption.
