P J Spillings awarded joinery works at three new M&S stores

PJ Spillings Joinery have recently been awarded two new Marks & Spencer projects by Simons Construction – Marks & Spencer, Merthyr Tydfil and Marks & Spencer Simply Food, Leeds which is due to start in September 2015. Marks & Spencer, Bradford is also underway working alongside SYL Simpsons York. The works will include a joinery fit out package for each new store.

Joinery works have already been completed to a number of Marks & Spencer stores across the UK. These include:

Marks & Spencer Food Hall – Meole Brace Retail Park, Shrewsbury

A new shop fit out including new factory finished timber door sets, WC cubicles, vanity units, shelves and cabinets. The fit out was a modular build over a five week construction period at the 16,121 sq ft x 8,854 sq ft store.


Marks & Spencer Food Hall – Norwich

Joinery fit out for the new store included new doorsets, wall protection, floor trolley rails, WC cubicles and vanity units, shelving and more.

Marks & Spencer Simply Food – Crouch-End, Hitchin and Didsbury

Refurbishment works for all three stores were completed during the night to ensure the stores were open and trading during the day. Works included striping out existing shelving systems, installing new frieze panelling above the fridges, new laminate wall and column protection.
